Euro Retailers List PS3 40GB + FIFA 2008 At €489

It looks like the cat is out of the bag regarding the 40GB PS3.

We have heard about it for a while now but this image on the right is the first one that has really interested me.

Why? Because it is a European (Read PAL) advert. Which means we actually may get the 40GB model here.

489 Euros for a PS3 with FIFA 2008 is very appealing. It would most probably land for around the R5000 mark which is nearly affordable for me.

[Thanks Craig for the tip]

Rumbling controller is only being released to PAL areas around March 2008.

No news yet on whether they will automatically exchange non-rumblings for rumbling ones

I’d say almost definitely not, they’ll make you buy new ones.

I dont get this whole Rumble vs no rumble thing, the general feeling on the ps3 forums is that it doesnt really matter. The only games where I feel rumble is essential is racing games otherwise its just a nice extra.

When rumble comes out I will have no problem paying for another, My goal is to have four controls anyway!

I just feel like the control is something Xfans have always tried to wave in ps3 fans faces and to be honest I dont get it. My sixaxis control feels plenty sturdy, sure it may be a little light, but If know one told you otherwise you would never realise and besides IMO the sixaxis is way more comfortable than the bulky xbox control.

@Abev, you are one of the only people on this planet who thinks the SIXAXIS is sturdy and the Xbox controller bulky.. Leaving Rumble out was an idiotic move by Sony. As you rightly said it is very important in Racing games. however it is also very important in many other games, Rockstar Table Tennis uses it very well and so does Lego Star Wars ;)…
