October-games

Batton down the hatches! Man all turrets and prepare thine butt for an onslaught on your wallet the likes of which are only seen once a year! The fourth quarter of the year officially kicks off in October, and you know what that means: Titans on the horizon, powered by the fuel of a AAA hype machine and marching towards your wallet with a take no prisoners attitude.

While November may have the biggest games of the year on the horizon, October is an opening salvo that’ll test the mettle of any disciplined gamer who claims to be capable of avoiding the FOMO brigades. The heavyweights in this spooktacular month are many and varied: Ubisoft and Bungie launch a two-pronged attack with service games in the form of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and Destiny 2: Shadowkeep on day one, October 15 sees the launch of Overwatch on the Nintendo Switch and the end of the month will see Call of Duty flex its mighty annual muscles once again.

I am looking forward to Destiny 2: New Light, to give the game a go and see if it hooks me, and Breakpoint, simply because I have Uplay+. Chernobylite I am interested in, CoD: MW may pull me back into the franchise, and The Outer Worlds is a disappointment waiting to happen!!! Trine I am also keen for.

From what I’ve seen of The Outer Worlds, I’ve got no interest in the game.

You had me excited there for a split second. But it seems to be the port from the old PS4 game.

I love the Digimon games on PS1. Still play them from time to time. I have played Cyber Sleuth when it came out but it’s not anything like the Digimon World games from back in the day.

Apex Legends Season 3? Not technically a new release, but these type of updates are sure to influence sales/uptake of new games right?

Trine 4 and Concrete Genie out on the same day… Why do these studios hate me, I can’t get both right off the bat.
