Far Cry 4 video reveals new Pagan Min henchman

Far cry 4 de pleur

There are three major biomes in Far Cry 4. That’s funny, Pagan Min has three henchmen (I’m not sure if henchwoman is a term, so she can be male for this discussion) – I think it’s safe to assume there’s one per area. The first one we see runs the Lowlands and looks like Min’s right hand man.

Each of the three major areas has unique environments and wild life. Here’s the first one, completely with its own mini-boss psychopath.

Paul de Pleur is the leader of the army, and filled with all kinds of crazy. Sounds like a French name, although with weird backgrounds of all the characters, who knows where he became this lunatic. All we know is that he likes to torture people, and makes Pagan Min happy with his leadership. Oh, and he’s behind the “tea” (read: drug) trade.

For a video that’s meant to show off the environment, I’m a bit worried that it spent so much time with the psychedelic view. But at least we get to see more vehicles and animals. I like the idea of throwing meat at enemies to make animals attack for me. Anytime I can get other creatures to do the hard work of killing things, I go for it.

Are you liking what you’re seeing of Far Cry 4? I’m glad to hear that there is a ton to do in the game, and I like the way that they’ve introduced co-op. The game looks like it will be a ton of fun, and I’m sure for fans it’s an insta-buy – with crazy antagonists, the Far Cry franchise is just far too much fun. Are you going to buy it for the villains, or are the honey badgers enough of a selling point?

I know, right? Traps are the best & when it comes to defeating my enemies it’s hard to beat the meat. O_o

If only your traps were non-lethal it would’ve been different.

I like Far Cry because it’s an open world FPS sandbox game. I’m really hoping they make another Blood Dragon type game too.

I’m a fan of Far Cry. I like a good shooting game. But Uplay won’t get me buying Far Cry 4. Because of Uplay DRM I have zero interest in Far Cry 4 and zero interest in buying Far Cry 4 and I’m a fan of Far Cry.

If they took the DRM away, day 1 buy for me. But there’s DRM so meh, I’ll wait for Cyberpunk 2077.

    Don’t support DRM.

At least the graphics is better than Watch Dogs. You see how the background gets blurred out when aiming at things up close and visa versa? Thats next gen. Shadow of Mordor does that perfectly when aiming with a bow.

MOARDOAR! That is such a pretty game, I can’t get over it. I’m sure it even looks nice on the console 😉

Lovely little sandbox where quality trumped over quantity. The sheen on the puddles when raining and the textures on the rock formation is next gen. The combat never gets old because one does have to keep their concentration when forming combos and that triangle button needs to be countered even if it means being a patient fighter. Nothing more frustrating than a combo being broken because you just wanted to finish that flurry attack.
But I do get the feeling that in order to make it feel like a next gen game that they had to keep the geometry low thus resulting in some frustrating traversing if you do not hit the angle of the object correctly. You just end up standing while being swarmed by smelly orcs while re-aligning the camera to mount a wall. But Im just nit picking.

        My FIRST NEXT GEN GAME.

Oh man, that wall mount. You’re completely spot on there. I ran into that problem a few times last night.
I totally agree, quality over quantity here. Those kill moves and the sneaking keeps it interesting. Just want to get home and play MOAR MOARDOAR
My first AAA title bought in the month of release this year. Well worth it too.

I also get the feeling that the story of the Orcs is the start of a new franchise. We all know that Tolkien never wanted to flesh out the story of the orcs because he hated them. He just kept them to represent pure evil and never bothered going deeper than that.

What a breath of fresh air from the Middle Earth lore to see a cool character like rat bag. I want more.

Wait what. I’ve only played 2 hours, but now you’ve given me yet ANOTHER reason to drive home at 200kph to play it.
I do agree though, as filthy as the orcs of LOTR are I really do like them, there’s some real potential for some badass stuff in there.

You just gave the pc modding community an idea that they’re going to take way too far. Expect Honey Badgers with wheels instead of legs, mounted rocket packs, laser beam eyes and dual machine guns, all packed in a Stars and Stripes uniform.
