There’s been a lot of great Final Fantasy games over the years since the iconic franchise first launched, but lately, there’s also been some lacklustre titles emerging from the stable. Fans have been begging for HD remakes of the earlier games to be released on the latest Playstation consoles, and they might just get their wish after all, as one of the better-selling Final Fantasy titles is making its remastered way into our homes, but which one is it?

At the Sony Press Conference held at the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy X will be appearing on the PS Vita and PS3. The tenth game was originally a PS2 exclusive, and featured the main character of Tidus, a blitzball player that was mystically transported to a distant land where he had to help the young Yuna on her pilgrimage to save the world, while he uncovered answers to who and what he really was.

Personally, I’m a little disappointed that Square Enix chose the tenth FF game instead of other more iconic ones such as FF seven and eight. While it would have most likely taken far longer to remaster those epic games, it would be great to see them pop up for download one day on the market place.

Still, Final Fantasy X has its place, and while the trippy story may not be to everyone’s tastes, it was still a game that had all the familiar trademarks of a Final Fantasy game, such as massive worlds, deep combat systems and interesting characters.
