Following on from a troll launch a while back, Final Fantasy VII has now launched for real this time. Like totally. Pricing and link, after the jump.

The 1997 Square Enix role-playing game Final Fantasy VII has rereleased on PC as a downloadable game only. Available exclusively from the Square Enix Store, gamers can get it for a promotional price of R65.63 until 12 September.

“We’re really pleased to offer a downloadable PC version of the much loved FINAL FANTASY VII. It’s a great chance for fans to re-live so many memorable moments and a great opportunity for players who have never played the title to experience why the game has had so much influence on the industry over the years” vice president Larry Sparks said in a press release.

This downloadable version will include some new features such as Character Booster that enables players to fully power up their character, cloud saves, and in-game achievements.

Final Fantasy VII scored a 92 on Metacritic from the industry and a 9.0 user score and was seen as one of the great titles of the franchise introducing the now infamous rivalry between Cloud and Sephiroth.
