I love online memes. They spread like wildfire and they make us giggle about random juxtaposition. Or bad jokes. While they’re often used to make fun of things, they can also help raise awareness. With the approach of “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” it makes sense that they’re being encouraged by the game’s director.

Siliconera is reporting that Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata finds the new bunch of memes for the game rather hilarious. In fact, he has decided to release a bunch of art assets for fans to mess around with. They are actually perfect for people who have the same level of Photoshop ability as I do – they are PNGs which transparency enabled. This means that even I can make awful memes… Except I can’t because apparently even with the proper tools I just have no ability. Instead, you can view this awesome one that Darryn threw together in no time:

FFXV Car Meme

Want to make your own memes? You can grab the cool PNGs here, here and here. Feel free to show me how it’s done. I failed at making the guy reach into the Sistine Chapel hands pose, or even turn it into the creepiest ever Nicki Minaj Anaconda meme. Gavin is convinced that my aesthetic ability is so lacking that I must be blind, so I’ll just stick with that words business and leave the pretty pictures to the professionals.

It’s good to see that Tabata realizes that as long as we’re talking about his game, that’s a good thing… even if it means we’re just making the boys stare at women’s derrières from a car.
