My tastes are…unconventional. Specifically, I have a certain taste for exploring dank and dusty dungeons in Final Fantasy XV. There’s plenty of them in Final Fantasy XV, just waiting to be explored and plundered. If you can survive that is. Keycatrich Trench
- Recommended level: 12
- Region location: Leide
- Entrance location: After you complete the main quest during Chapter Two, you’ll be introduced to this dungeon that contains a Royal Tomb and your very first Armiger weapon.
- Boss: Level 12 Arachne. Stock up on your Fire magic for this battle.
Greyshire Glacial Grotto
- Recommended level: 19
- Region location: Cleigne
- Entrance location: After visiting Lestallum, you’ll be sent to this dungeon to look for another Armiger.
- Boss: A level 17 Ronin and three level 19 Mindflayers will harass you at the end of this dungeon.
Fociaugh Hollow
- Recommended level: 30
- Region location: Leide
- Entrance location: During “The Trial of Ramuh” quest in Chapter 5, you’ll find a rock marking the location of this dungeon.
- Boss: Level 30 Naga that has a habit of transforming you into a toad, so prepare some potions for this scenario.
Malmalam Thicket
- Recommended level: 38
- Region location: Cleigne
- Entrance location: While driving during the main quest “All Set to Set Sail” in Chapter 6, your entourage will encourage you to scope out this dungeon.
- Boss: Level 38 Bandersnatch
The Rock of Ravatogh
- Recommended level: 38
- Region location: Cleigne
- Entrance location: The Rock of Ravatogh side-quest will lead you on the path towards this dungeon to claim another Armiger weapon, the Mace of the Fierce.
- Enemies: While the boss can be bypasse completely, you will have to deal with Saphyrtails, Spiracorn, Killer Wasps,Thunderocs and a Wyvern.
Steyliff Grove
- Recommended level: 32
- Region location: Cleigne
- Entrance location: During the Party of Three mission, you’ll be given an opportunity to enter this dungeon.
- Boss: A level 32 Quetzalcoatl will be out for your blood in this Royal Tomb location on the third floor, but defeating it will result in a Scarlet Splinterbone being dropped.
The Myrlwood
- Recommended level: 38
- Region location: Cleigne
- Entrance location: You’ll gain access to the part of the map from chapter 7 in the story, that houses this dungeon.
- Boss: Level 38 Treant, with a Star of the Rogue Armiger available as a reward in this Royal Tomb.
Daurel Caverns
- Recommended level: 41
- Region location: Duscae
- Boss: No actual boss battle, but you’ll have to deal with an Iron Giant, Necromancers and Hecteyes.
The Boulves Mines
- Recommended Level: 50
- Region Location: Leide
- Entrance location: This Royal Tomb dungeon can be accessed at any time, and contains several floors. The boss can be found on the third floor.
- Boss: Level 52 Aramusha.
Crestholm Channels
- Recommended level: 50
- Region location: Leide
- Entrance location: You’ll gain access to the part of the map from chapter 7 in the story, that houses this dungeon.
- Boss: Level 50 Jormungand, that drops Drooping Whiskers on defeat. Killing Black Flan in the dungeon will also drop Auto-Changer accessories, a key item for the Enhanced Headlights side-quest from Cindy.
Costlemark Tower
- Recommended level: 55
- Region location: Duscae
- Entrance: This dungeon can only be accessed at night, when Dino sends you on the Treasure beyond measure side-quest.
FFXV Secret Pitioss Dungeon
- Recommended level: 45
- Region location: Cleigne
- Entrance location: I actually don’t want to spoil the game here, so I’m going to leave a link here instead for a video detailing this particular dungeon.
