ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED

It may have been a smaller event compared to previous years, but Gamescom was still home to some big news overall.

I was definitely entertained by LG! You guys have rocked with your coverage of Gamescom! Been awesome to get my daily dose of Gamescom updates. And yes, Gamescom has been great this year, me thinks. Some great new games announced and some awesome footage of future hits shown.

But LG – you’re ALL “Batman of the Week” in my eyes!

Very entertained. Buying a PS4 for less than I thought? Throw in PS+ and I am gonna be more entertained come December.

PS+ just gets better and better. It was a value-packed proposition when it kicked off on PS3. Add a vita and ps4 to that, and it’s just silly! It’s great how Sony rewards customers who have multiple devices.

ps4 release date was nice news, official SA RRP @ 6.3k was NOT. Time to find an alternate plan…
Actually, the resurgence of vita is the best news yet, perhaps I’ll use it as something other than a remote screen for my ps3 now 🙂

That reminds me of an email I got this morning 🙂 , confirming that my pre-order payment had gone through. 6599 for the console, an extra controller and KZ is a much more sturdy proposition.

How reputable are they? Their pricing seems R400 more than importing from Amazon with import duties etc.

I have several friends who travel all the time. I might just get one to pick up a UK version after release. Still alot cheaper than SK.

All the vita news made mwe giddy. Release dates for PS4, meh, will only look into getting it day one if theres better games on launch. (fucking CODG lololol) Still though, nothing beats a good games convention right?

I’ve enjoyed the coverage, but the news itself hasn’t been particularly exciting – nothing that stands out as earth shaking (for me).

I’m expecting David Cage’s new game (Game Convention Conference: The Game) to be announced any moment now. The sixaxis motion control allows you to gently tilt Shu’s head, rocking him to sleep.

I am for one agreeing I am disappointed as to what sony has brought to the table at gamescom. I honestly expected more, I mean no info on their camera no nothing much really.

Well, the camera resembles a packet of Halls in appearance and size and it’s rumoured to never be used! Anything else I can help clarify? Hehe!

I wanted news on XCom Enemy Within, and I was VERY HAPPY to get more than expected out of that! Just wish the pre-order would open up already! Also, was not expecting anything D3 related until the rumours a few days prior. Then I was almost dumbstruck at how awesome it sounds and looks. It is a polisher for a TIRD and might only make the TIRD shiny, but it still looks damn good.

I rarely jump on the hype train, too scared that I miss my spot on the gravy train. So it’s nice to get the info and see the vids, but I’ll still play the wait and see game. So ja this is a long way to say that I don’t really have an opinion on it.

The one thing that really grabbed my attention and got me excited was the Project Spark video showing off motion and voice capture to animate your in game characters with Kinect! Finally, a very good use for Kinect!

I think some interesting things have come out of it. I have to say, I think with the effort the LG team has put in, except for Zoe who spent most of last weekend sleeping off a hangover from ‘going out with friends’, has been tremendous. Good to see you people have such passion, and seem to enjoy communicating with us (no one as much as Grant though). Makes me wish I was part of the team dammit! Screw working for an NGO saving the already doomed planet, gimme games!

I mean. I still do a run every now and again. My WD is Paragon 45.. so I’ve seen my fair share of time sunk into the game. But epic? I don’t know if I’d call it epic. Borderlands 2 is epic. Fun. Hilariously fun. Mass Effect was an epic story arch. But Diablo?

If you dislike it cool that is up to you. thats whats awesome about life. you can like what you like and dislike what you like. other people can disagree and it’s ok. doesnt make anyone right or wrong it’s all opinion.

I think a couple of years ago this Gamescom would have been so awesome. Now though we expect so much more than we used to. Its almost like the only thing that would blow my mind now is a full on virtual reality rig that is practical and works like a dream and doesn’t cost like 20 k
