Just today the post that went up discussing Forza 3’s new features got some good feedback from our readers and now, news just got better.

I have received a press release in my inbox from Microsoft proudly stating that Forza 3 has officially gone gold. If you are wondering what I am on about, going gold means that the game is ready, done and sent in to start the mass duplication process.

Even better, we are getting a full-featured demo on Xbox Live.

The demo will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace on September 24 and will have the full Camino Viejo circuit and will have the following cars at our disposal:

Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR
Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI quattro
Ferrari California
MitsubishiEvo X
Mini Cooper JCW

The press release also says the following about the features available in the demo:

“You be able to drive all of the cars in the demo in full cock-pit view as well as experience damage, rollover and try out the game’s new rewind feature as you take turns on a beautiful Spanish mountain course inspired by the Montserrat region just outside of Barcelona, Spain. Additionally, the Xbox LIVE demo will also support official leaderboards for lap times giving you a further taste of what players will experience in ‘Forza Motorsport 3’.”

Great news for Forza fans. I just realised I will be away that week and the thought of canceling a vacation for the demo crossed my mind, at least once. Who needs the beach anyways, right?

Yes! I wonder how big the demo will be?
Might have to bring the xbox into work for a covert download. :ninja:
