Free! – Midnight Club: LA Getting DLC Next Week

Following in the footsteps of Criterion Games, Rockstar are also going to be releasing free DLC for their racing title, Midnight Club.

While there are many money hungry companies who would love nothing more than to charge you as much as possible for a few pieces of armour or some weapons in a game, Rockstar are going to be offering gamers an entire new area of Los Angeles called South Central (yes, that place that all the west-side rappers go on about all the time) for absolutely nothing.

There will also be a South Central Content Pack that will also add a few extra cars as well as motorcycles as well and according to Rockstar will have many new recognisable landmarks and races. Pricing on the Content Pack has not yet been released.

They also had the following to say about their South Central Content Pack:

“In addition to the free new city area, players will be able to purchase the “South Central Content Pack” which includes new character competitions, races, cars and music available in a single complete package. The new vehicles include a variety of cars and a motorcycle. Also making an appearance for the first time in Midnight Club Los Angeles will be SUVs, a longtime favorite of the series’ fans.”

We as gamers really need to do what we can to support companies who are releasing free content like this. Enough support will mean a higher frequency of free content and we can stop PSN and Xbox Live from being an ocean of overpriced and undervalued content packs. Need I bring up the horse armour one more time?

  1. The Premium Content was already priced last week,800 MS Points or in other words 10 dollah.I’ll be picking up the premium content myself and from what I’ve read on the net it will include Achievements and Trophies for both consoles.

Hopefully I’ll have my console back by then. :pouty:
