The latest Army of Two game, The Devils Cartel, is first up, as EA start their 2012 press conference with some guns and techno. So what’s in store for the bro-tastic mercenaries this time around?

Nothing, that’s what, because Salem and Rio are sitting this one out. We’ve got two new mercs this time, Alpha and Bravo, and they’re all business, and less about bumping fists as they engage enemy forces.

The game is running on the latest engine from DICE, Frostbite 2, and it looks spectacular so far. Engaging and eliminating enemies builds up an Overkill meter, allowing for players to become more powerful in the process.

The live playthrough continues, with plenty of environmental destruction happening, as Alpha and Bravo work their way up a roof to rescue an ally. A helicopter is present, allowing one player to hop in and use the turret, while the second player works his way across the rooftops. Baysplosions everywhere!

The turret controlling player shoots down a large antenna, allowing the other player to work his way across this makeshift bridge, before an RPG takes out the chopper, causing the second player to jump in and save him from a freefall death.

And with that, the demo ends, as Army of Two: The Devils Cartel prepares for a March 2013 release date.
