rAge is almost upon us – the year has already flown by and it’s almost time for the gamers and geeks of South Africa to descend upon the Dome for a weekend. I enjoy rAge, mostly because I get to see all the cool local cosplay and indie games, but also because the bigger boys put on one massive show. Now you can grab your tickets.
This year, bookings are being done through Computicket, so head on over to their portal and pick your event. There are separate links for a one day pass or a weekend pass, so don’t get confused.
rAge will be taking place from 10-12 October and you really shouldn’t miss out. You guys can get your hands on games and tech that haven’t launched yet locally, or maybe pick up some cool toys and accessories. Bobbleheads SA, Board Games and Dark Carnival will be there with all your awesome novelty goods, plus the usually impressive showings from Megarom, Ster Entertainment, Nintendo, EA and Xbox South Africa should ensure that you get to see some really fun things. The venue is always packed, sweaty and hot, but it’s a fun opportunity to see like-minded people and experience the best South Africa’s gaming community has to offer.
In almost as important news, we will again be having a rAge community drink. Here is the Facebook link for the event – please feel free to invite any and all people you think would enjoy it. We are starting the drink early for those who are already too hot and sweaty, but you are welcome to join us later on once the chilli eating and debauchery has begun.

As much as I enjoyed rAge in the past, i haven’t been going for the past few years because the venue has gotten too small for this event.
