Well it seems that Halo 3 has managed to take in $170 million in its first 24 hours which makes it the biggest opening day in entertainment history… not bad, but we did expect that didn’t we…

There have been some complaints about the graphics in Halo 3 not being next gen and Bungie has come out to defend themselves quite strongly. They say they were not going to photo realistic graphics or a true grimy world look and feel. They stuck to the vibrant and fun feeling. I think they put it best when they say

Folks who have complained about the graphics in the large part have said ‘I don’t like the way it looks’ then they pick it up and they play it for half-an-hour and then four hours later they’re still playing and that’s the last time you hear them saying anything about the game

I was playing Halo 3 last night and I checked my friends list, 45 online, 41 playing Halo 3. I have never seen anything like it before.
