We’re in a genre that is dominated by a select few franchises. Forza, Gran Turismo and whatever it is that Codemasters has in development at any given time. But there’s always that chance that the big dogs in racing games are in danger of being overtaken by a plucky upstart. A new challenger, with everything to prove and attitude to match.

Project Cars was that up and coming talent in 2015, a brash and gorgeous example of horses under the hood and a need for speed outside of EA. NB: The EA Porsche license has expired so expect that brand in a racing game near you.
