For Honor’s PC requirements are quite honourable

To be perfectly honest, I’ve paid little to no attention to Ubisoft’s upcoming action hack and slash from yesteryear, For Honor. It’s nothing personal really, the game just doesn’t appeal to me in the slightest. That’s not to say I can’t or won’t change my mind come launch next month, on the 14th of February (Valentines Day, of all dates). For all I know, For Honor could be the next big thing, and I most certainly wouldn’t want to miss it if that is the case. I know Alessandro loves it (based on some brief hands-on time he’s had), and he’s never wrong, right?

As is standard practice for Ubisoft now, For Honor will be coming to all major platforms; PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Here’s the sort of hardware you’ll need to have if you’re looking to play the on the last one in particular (via VG247):

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-550 | AMD Phenom II X4 955 or equivalent
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX660/GTX750ti/GTX950/GTX1050 with 2 GB VRAM or more | AMD Radeon HD6970/HD7870/R9 270/R9 370/RX460 with 2 GB VRAM or more – See supported List
  • System RAM: 4GB
  • Resolution: [email protected]
  • Video Preset: Low
  • VSync: Off

Recommended

  • Resolution: 1080p@ ~60FPS
  • Video Preset: High
  • VSync: Off
  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K | AMD FX-6350 or equivalent
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX680/GTX760/GTX970/GTX1060 with 2 GB VRAM or more | AMD Radeon R9 280X/R9 380/RX470 with 2 GB VRAM or more – See supported List
  • System RAM: 8GB

Those recommended specs are definitely within reach for the standard PC gamer. If you have any doubts however, remember that there’s a closed beta taking place this weekend. If you’d like to test out your rig’s capabilities before grabbing the game next month, that’s definitely the place to do it. You can sign up right here if you’re interested.
