We’ve all flogged a game before, in order to get some much needed green in our bank accounts. Heck, some of us have even ditched an entire collection of nostalgia and childhood memories for cash, but I’m pretty certain that no one here has ever sold this many games before.

One collector did just this, with one of the most complete gaming collections in the history of mankind going up for auction on eBay. Collectors-King, had it all. Complete runs of games dating all the way back to the NES (Golden China for us), through to various Sega and other Nintendo systems.

That’s over 7000 games in total. And they’re all in mint condition, as the Dreamcast collection alone consisted of 550 games that were still sealed in their original factory wrapping. The price for all this?

A Dr Evilish One million Euros. Well, 999,999.999 Euros to be exact, or $1,238,099.99. In our currency, that works out to R10,187,087.22, a staggering amount of cash for such a collection. And it sold for that price.

What do you think? If you had the cash available, would you have put in an offer on this one of a kind collection, or would is this a waste of cash to you for so much old plastic?
