I was going to write something witty here, but instead I’ll just be all meta about it and let you imagine what I could have written and smirk to yourself. There, wasn’t that so much better?

Announced for PS4, Pillar is a psychological mini game collection. It avoids cutscenes or dialogue in telling the story – the gameplay itself is meant to speak to players. It could be interesting, or absolutely horrible. I suppose only time will tell.

Instead of such higher level abstraction, there’s this higher level strategy game: To End All Wars. Battle it out in the trenches – this time it’s all about the strategy of the Great War rather than the emotions shown in Valiant Hearts. Here’s the intro video.

Coming out of Ludum Dare is this little gem, Neon Highway. What is it? I’m not entirely too sure…

Neon Highway is a six-way connected runner made for Ludum Dare 30. Control six different lanes at the same time, as you strive to achieve a state of bliss, or something like that.

There are 6 different lanes and you control them all at the same time. Fortunately, there are powerups that can lock a lane. If you lock all the lanes you win!

Play it over here.

Neon highway is an interesting idea… would be cool if it were 2D side scrolling with stick men, or something.

Thanks, took me about 5 tries to get to that… I’m sure it can be a lot faster, but then you need to try control more than 1 lane at a time, and I didn’t have the concentration span at the time to do that, I blame work!

Cool little game, challenging if you’re trying to get a really good time. Now you can make it interesting and make it side scrolling where you control jumps and slides XD
