Indie Zoe is back, baby. It’s 2015 and we’ve already got some cool indie news for you. So, get on your double monocles and pretend to have some ironic facial hair – we’re going full hipster.

The Independent Games Festival has announced their main competition finalists and it’s an impressive list of indie games. Multiple award nominations have gone to 80 Days, The Talos Principle and This War of Mine. Other games getting recognition include Shovel Knight, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Framed, and Invisible Inc. Some excellent nominations and great exposure for a wide variety of critically acclaimed games. Here’s hoping we get an IGF Humble Bundle before the awards in March – I’m still waiting to play a whole bunch of these.

Would You Rather is a game we’ve all played at home, but these developers are pushing the boundaries by making it the worst possible game. You can submit questions, vote, and even get a shoutout in the final game.

The Yogscast did a “Jingle Jam” over the holidays, raising $1 104 882.09. The money will go to a variety of charities including Oxfam and Doctors Without Borders. They also offered a Humble Bundle for charity, but one of their biggest money makers was $175 00 raised by the team singing ‘Does Santa Claus Visit Zombie Pig-men Kids in the Nether in Minecraft (At Christmas Time)?’. Well done.

If you want some eye candy, be sure to pick up the Humble Bundle Weekly Sale today – time is running out if you want these gorgeous games for cheap.

Finally, allow me to remind you of our awesome competition. With excellent prizes up for grabs, as well as the whole thing being built around a cool Trials-esque game, you really should enter to win.

I’d buy that HB in a second if it happens.

The weekly humble bundle is a little abstract for my taste. I’ll pass.

I’ve never understood how facial hair could be ironic.
