Lair can be played on PSP – Cool

It has been confirmed that Lair is the first Blu-ray PS3 game to be played on a PSP through the PS3’s remote play ability.

By reducing the visual quality and increasing the response times they say the game is actually quite playable. Obviously we have no motion sensing in the PSP yet so for now the controls have been moved over to the analog stick. Which does a more than adequate job in filling in…

I asked before why you would want to do this and was told that it’s cool because you can keep playing even when you go to the bathroom. Maybe it’s a blessing that not all PS3’s come with headsets 😉

More than the bathroom, I think it’d be cool to remote play your games if you’re halfway across the country (or world for that matter) and want to finish the single player campaign, etc. I mean, I’d pay money to not have to carry my PS3 up and down with me when I fly between cape town and Joburg…

Wait, doesnt the PS3 have to be within WiFi range of the PSP for this feature to work? The bathroom is within range but I think CT is a tad too far?

AFAIK the remote play feature is partially accesible over the internet… I am not sure this sort of gaming will work however….

    Who’s going to try it?

As long as ur PS3 is connected to the internet… and as long as ur PSP is connected to the net… U can be anywhere in the world and have access to all ur PS3 music, vids, pics, some ps1 + psn games and now Lair. If ur Ps3 is linked to ur media server u can access stuff thru it as well. Remote play was unimpressive at launch but firmware upgrades have really improved it and its potential is exciting. So yeah, the dudes’ CT to JHB travels will be more ‘colourful’
