The patch we have all been waiting is for is finally on the way. That is, if you have the Xbox 360 version of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

One of the biggest omissions from the game at launch was the lack of online co-op and Crystal Dynamics have been promising a patch for quite some time now. The Xbox 360 version was released earlier than the PS3 and PC version due to the Summer of Arcade exclusivity deal that they had with Microsoft, so it will be the first to get the patch.

There will also be some free DLC. More after the jump.

The PS3 and PC versions will be getting the patch soon enough, although Crystal Dynamics have not yet given a date.

As a way of saying thanks for everyones patience, the first DLC pack for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be released for free after the patch missed its original September date. I have been enjoying the game immensely and look forward to breaking lots of ancient pots with some buddies online soon.

  1. So they delayed the game on PC and PS3 and couldnt even bother to get the patch out at the same time for all consoles? What the hell are MS making exclusivity deals for gameplay patches now also

Also when you say free DLC do they mean all platforms or is this also Xbox exclusive?

I got this game right when it came out, and loved it! Played it all the way through, and I firmly believe this is the best game starring Lara Croft. ^_^ And now I can finally get the multiplayer achievements without having to “plug in” another controller! ^_^

I wonder what took them so long.. Ah well, I had plenty to play accross 5 currently active systems here…
