It’s not often that you outsell all your competitors and people start acting like it is a bad thing… however take a look at the sales ending the 8th of December
Wii 239,413 (-26%)
360 256,249 (+2%)
PS3 160,374 (+3%)
The change percentage is a week on week change from the 1st of December.. See something odd?
So why the big drop? Well Wii-fit was released in Japan and we expect to see a huge increase in their sales so I think they just didn’t give the American market enough consoles… Nothing nefarious.
Sony will be happy that they are staying about 160k and not falling since the price drop but won’t be overjoyed that they are still being beaten by the 360.
Microsoft will most probably be content.

I’m guessing the Wii’s are supply constrained and the 360 Arcade is benefiting a bit from it.
Interesting global distribution on vgcharts, 2008 is going to be very interesting.

looking at the yearly sales for america it is just insane.
xbox sold 38 500 000 games in a year,
wii sold 29 000 000 million
and the ps3 12 000 000
xbox outsold the ps3 2:1 in systems sold and
the wii outsold the ps3 3:1.
just insane.

As Doobiwan said.next year will be very interesting… the xbox and ps3 are really gonna be giving some competition between each other… and with great tiles coming onto the ps3, gamers on both sides are gonna be smiling big time 😀

I have to query those wii sales figures. Every person on earth would have to buy about 485 games each to get to 29 trillion. Since we know that Spain is PS3 country we have to assume these nos are unrealistic

lol yeah they didn’t sell 29 trillion titles… I think Ewie was meant to say either 29 million or 29 000 000 but he got them combined….
