Thanks to Legacy Interactive, Pet Pals fans can expect a DS release. That’s right guys, Pet Pals: New Leash On Life intends to bring a whole new understanding of owning a real live pet through a digital medium (anyone remember the Tama-Gotchie… or however you’d spell that).
And like the hard-to-spell predecessor the title will test players in the caring for a pet. The game however places the player in the role of a veterinarian where they are required to nurse sick pets back to health. Of course hints are available throughout the game to help the less knowledgeable players.
The game follows in the footsteps of previous Pet Pals titles as it is also approved by The Humane Society of the United States. What’s really cool is that a portion of the game sales will provide financial support to the previously mentioned cause.
Legacy are hoping to have a 3rd quarter release in the US.
