MGS4 For Xbox 360?

You know I have to post a story like this every now and then to wind up PillsburyDeeBoy 🙂

Well once again this rumour has come out of the woodwork again, what is strange however is that the story hit the major news sites this time due to a story on a PlayStation fansite that states categorically that MGS is not coming to the 360.

I think even the most die hard 360 fans have accepted this now and we can really all just move on…. Or can we.

MGS4 has cost Konami millions and if it doesn’t break through the 2 million barrier before Christmas you can mark my words that these rumours will be flying around and the bean counters at Konami will be holding meetings.

That won’t be a problem, 2 million by Christmas will be their minimum. Besides i doubt that Konami footed the dev bill alone. No doubt Sony would have funded a significant portion of it.

I am not so sure about this especially after the comments that the BluRay disc is to small for the game.

Yup I was also gonna say that this game supposedly fulled up a BD. Although I suppose MS could stretch it across 6 Dual layer DVD’s!

Better have it stretched across than having to have the same content sold as a sequel.

Maybe someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the 360 use much better compression software than the PS3. I remember reading somewhere that the PS3 doesn’t compress sound files and some textures or something… so I’m sure they could fit it on 3 DVDs 😉

This game doesn’t interest me. None of the previous did either. Even if this did come to 360 I would give it a skip… Thank goodness though.. because the reasons to get a PS3 are becoming more and more…and I can’t afford one!

Yes the 360 does use better compression software thats due to the GPU’s capabilities. WMV HD is another bonus when it comes to cut scenes.

Lost Odyssey comes on 4 discs but it does have 40-60 hours of gameplay whereas Heavenly Sword on a BD has 9-12 hours of gameplay plus add the cost of a BD disc.

I don’t see the point on releasing MGS4 on 360 because Gears 2 is coming this year November!!!

Will they quite with the stupid rumour already! I don’t want MGS4 and that’s all that matters!

Those darn fanboys should spend more time trying to sneak into Bungies offices and steal the secret plans for their next project.

MGS4 and Gears 2 are similar in the sense that they are the best sellers in the respective companies stables. You don’t see Bungie wanting to release Halo on PS3(not even Halo 1 or 2) and neither does Epic and MS want to release Gears 2 on PS3.

correction- MGS4 and Gears 2 are going to be best sellers. The previous versions have been the best sellers. This heat is getting too me… and this rumor is the worst rumor of rumors in rumor history, lol.

    I don’t want MGS4 either.

Look at the voting so far for the most anticipated game… MGS4 and GEARS 2 are tied at 20%

I’ll put it to you this way. If MS spent $50 million for MGS as they did for GTA I’d be pizzled. I’d much rather they ploughed that into some new IP, Viva pinata Plushies or XBL SA :p

    Better yet, Crackdown 2.

They did dump MGS4 for a new IP. I think Lazy reported it here some time ago.
