It has finally happened. Microsoft are taking a hard line with people who have violated the terms and conditions of the Xbox Live service and are banning consoles that have been ‘modified’ from using the service.

So if you are one of the people who has chipped their consoles to play backups then sorry for you 🙂

Microsoft have been threatening to do this for a long time now and I can see a lot of people complaining about this but for me personally I think it’s a great idea. Not only should it help cut down on piracy it will also make it much more difficult for people to cheat on Live…

What about if you not banned on Live? Will they still take it in and swap it

Will they swap out a hacked console? Not a chance… By hacking a console you void your warranty…

Granted you may get the store to swap it but I would expect a call from Microsoft afterwards asking for the new one back….

    Hacking console = bad..
