Microsoft tells us why we game

While scouring Neogaf for some entertaining news this morning I found a thread which seems to have unearthed a new campaign Microsoft is planning on releasing.

It’s all around the hashtag #WhyIGame and goes on to show us how Microsoft and the Xbox One has the best exclusives of the year, biggest blockbusters and the best catalogue. Obviously this is entirely subjective but it does a decent job of showcasing how large the Xbox One library is at the moment and goes a long way to prove that no one can say there isn’t anything to play on the Xbox One yet.

Granted most of these games are available on the PS4 so think of this as more a reason for you to jump into the current gen on whatever platform floats your boat. First up the Microsoft Exclusives you can play before the end of 2014.

Click me

Personally I’m slowly getting excited for Sunset Overdrive, Titanfall was fun but I’m totally over that and the only reason I’m keen on Halo is to get into the Halo Guardian multiplayer beta.

Next up we have the biggest blockbusters.

hubba hubba

This is where I get excited. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Far Cry 4, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Dragon Age. Now that’s a list for the rest of the year – not to mention that the sporting titles like FIFA, Madden and NFL will all be better on the current gen.

And the library, the place we stick our noses into to find some good deals.

Specials

Diablo, Battlefield 4, Disney Infinity, Thief, Killer Instinct, Alien Isolation and many many more. So if you’re unsure of whether there are enough games to justify getting yourself a PS4 or Xbox One hopefully this helps change your mind. You really need to enter the new generation. Come on in,  the water’s great.

Not planning to release… they tweeted that first pic last night. Not sure I want to know where they’re going with that.

    They had me at Forza.
But Titanfall is really not something to boast about.

“…Focused on the quality of its games and the commitment to listening to users…” Listening, yeah they eventually listened alright.

Thank heavens that tumor has been cut out. MS is losing a bundle on the botched Kinect I bet.

But, with its option-out, a new batch of problems has surfaced.

For instance; I got the Xbox One sans Kinect and this evening, I will be setting up my 3rd XB1…in 10 days O_O

          Hopefully, 3rd time’s a charm.

If Destiny can rake in half a billion in 24 hours then Microsoft know for certain that that work can be a huge success for the new HALO.
They always wanted 24/7 DRM now they can use that work model with no more scorn from gamers.
Also keep the single player portion on-line only and not spend so much budget on a narrative that makes sense.

You vote with your wallet. Also expect Ubisoft games to all be subpar next gen with 900p 30fps and always on-line.

    Kudos.

Love how the Forza one says “1000 player car clubs”. Low shot at DriveClub perhaps? Huehuehuehue

Titanfall is available digitally from XBL. Heard good things from those that already bought it.

I just want Forza Horizon 2 and MCC. Those 2 games will never get old.

Shame I see you’re still feeling butthurt seeing as the PS4 destroyed X1 yet again for another month, despite tier-whatever launching, price drop, and whatever other desperate attempts MS made. Give it 12 months and the X1 install base will be so low compared to PS4 that Forza will probably go multiplat.

If that happens it will be the worst possible outcome for gamers, if there is no competition we will get served sub par sht constantly.

ok so we are willing to play crap games as long as there is no DRM, same sentiment as ill play a crap game as long as its 1080p 60fps.

Dude, I don’t want MS to be destroyed, I really don’t. Competition is good and all that jazz. I’m just amazed that Xbox guys will continue to drop bitchy snide remarks even though PS4 is clearly the console of choice this generation. Maybe they feel like they’re backed into a corner and have to fight.

I want Microsoft to be destroyed. The way they focused on full hardcore DRM for their console. That Xbox One needs to burn.

If Xbox One fails it doesn’t mean that PS will not have competition. All it means is that someone new will take it’s place.

Next generation PS is going to mention DRM. MS is going to mention DRM. And then everyone is fucked. The gaming industry is fucked.
Too me it looks like we do need someone new in the console market.

You can just flip a switch to turn on DRM. The console was built around it.
