Microsoft Youth Day Competition

Every now and then I find myself wandering around a shopping centre going from shop to shop, not just any shops, but ones that will stock games and accessories. As an owner of all the consoles, I generally look for anything new on the horizon that I have not bought or got for any of them. Then it kind of struck of me, just how many accessories are there for these consoles, and just how accessible are they.

This got me chatting to Microsoft last week, and after discussing all the latest and greatest, they gave us the latest run down on all the accessories for the Xbox360. First thing I do need to mention is this, every store I go into that sells anything gaming, generally has most of the 360 accessories in stock, so at least a good coverage is being made.

Now, my question to you guys and gals out there is this, and this is for a competition. If you could design or invent an accessory for the Xbox360, what would it be? Now what we’ll do is the following. There has to be rules around this competition, firstly, because it’s youth day, we have to focus it on the youthful people of our country, so no one over the age of 100 may enter the competition. Secondly, I’ll run it till Friday 20th June 2008. Thirdly, submissions can be sent in any way you want to, just by giving me a description in words or drawing it on paper and scanning it to literally designing on the PC, all your choice. And what could you win for your efforts? Microsoft has kindly donated the following to our winners: 1 x Rechargeable Battery Pack for the XBOX360 Controller, 1 x Play and Charge Kit for the XBOX360 Controller and 1 x XBOX360 Game (Ninja Gaiden 2 or Halo 3).

These will be awarded for the best submission, which I will not judge, but an unbiased outside opinion which will be appointed. Send these submissions to: Philip@lazygamer.co.za and you can enter as many submissions as you like.

Hope this gets the creative juices flowing a little!!!

The prizes are so lame I have already got a Rechargeable Battery Pack and a Play and Charge Kit for the XBOX360 Controller and I don’t need to enter this competition yay. Why can’t the prize be more worthy like a Xbox 360 Elite or a 120gb HDD

Sorry about the prizes, but the more you guys enter these competitions, and Microsoft see’s the value of them, them more they will give us in future. The game is damn good though.

Hmmmm…. How about a ps3 accessory that boosts the xbox’s power? You can plug it in via the controller port and it allows the xbox to play next gen games, just like a ps3 😉
