Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is getting lots of DLC

In the world of Naruto, everything is determined by jutsus. And demonic chakra-monsters that share a symbiotic relationship with their host, but that’s a story for another day. Anyway, ninjas wield all manner of secret techniques in Naruto, from kickass flame attacks to the ludicrous manipulation of atoms and gravity.

But Bandai Namco knows the most fearsome of all jutsus: DLC no jutsu. You think a Rasengan barrage can block a Sakura swimsuit jutsu attack? Dream on in the twilight world of the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, mate. Anyway, Naruto games are no strangers to DLC releases. And next year, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will get three waves of mostly cosmetic content. And a few new characters:

Wave 1: Another Scenario Pack 1

  • Another Scenario 1
  • Costume #1 (x1)
  • Combination Secret Techniques (x4)
  • Item set for costume exchanges
  • Ninja cards (x10)
  • Matching voices (x10)
  • Costume reprints (x10)

Wave 2: Another Scenario Pack 2

  • Another Scenario 2
  • Costume #2 (x1)
  • Combination Secret Techniques (x3)
  • Item set for costume exchanges
  • Ninja cards (x10)
  • Matching voices (x10)
  • Costume reprints (x10)

Wave 3: Playable Character Pack

  • Playable characters (x4)
  • Combination Secret Techniques (x3)
  • Item set for costume exchanges
  • Ninja cards (x10)
  • Matching voices (x10)
  • Costume reprints (x10)

Each wave will cost 700 Yen, which works out roughly to $5.80 per pack. There’ll be a season pass version available as well, that includes an exclusive combination secret attack. It might be based on Geoff’s secret technique, Stab-Him-In-The-Face no jutsu, which he uses whenever I dip too deep into the Naruto mythology when I write these posts.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 ships out on February no jutsu on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
