There is a very strange story doing the rounds about a secret 80Gb PS3 which is soon to be released.
Sony filed a Class II permissive change with the FEC due to some Bluetooth teaks that they have implemented and in the request they specified that the change will affect the 20GB, 60GB and 80GB models.
A Sony Europe spokesman has come out and said
The 80GB we’re not making a comment on, but we don’t have any plans at the moment
Which is not a denial? Why would Sony want a 80GB model when the Xbox Elite was just announced with 120GB and the PS3 handles regular Hard drives anyway? it all seems a little bizarre to me.
