New Xbox Live Dashboard Update Video

A new video has been made available from PAX of a dashboard walkthrough done by none other than Major Nelson.

The new video is about as shaky as Cloverfield and The Blair With Project put together but its decent enough that you can see what’s happening without any issues. He covers a whole bunch of the new features, from the ability to preview themes to the new party mode and avatars.

I am getting really excited to get my hands on the new dashboard and all of its new features. All we know is that Fall (our Spring*) cannot get here quick enough.

I just hope that the dashboard is easier to navigate that the present one. I hardly ever use it because it is so clunky.

at least he admits that they ripped off the Mii. I’m quite looking forward to the Fall Update, it’s just a pity that some of it (like Netflix) won’t really benefit us.

I really hope that the Live Primetime stuff will work here. That looks pretty cool.

I don’t think Primetime will work, but I’m totally amped for Live Party
I mean, 8 way persistant parties? Who wouldn’t be 😀

And then I presume the XNA store will be shipping with the XNE as well which should be awesome.

I honestly like what MS are doing with this a lot. It might not be original… but its good. Originality is nice.. but isn’t always needed. What MS are doing are taking features that they know people like and use (maybe not everyone.. but most at least) and putting it together nicely in a good package.. improving on it greatly.

I have Xbox and Ps3, and i am a Ps3 Home Beta tester. Man, home is just PURE fun. 🙂 I was in home right know for about 2 houers, met 5 friends, we talked a lot, played some bowling rounds, som pool, it was VERY nice. It’s just a Beta, but is pretty, PRETTY nice ! Tons, and TONS, and TONS of people on home to met. 🙂 the NXE Mii thing is a very welcome upgrade to live, but home is a very NICE future for Ps3 users. Believe me.
