We have a new trailer showing some of the gameplay from the new Deer Hunter Tournament 2008 and it really is looking super exciting.
I am so glad to see that this game has finally made it’s way to next-gen consoles and it really looks like this time around the game will fully push the boundaries of what these new machines can handle in terms of super realistic gameplay and graphics.
According to our inside source, who is only known to us as Bambi, the collectors edition will be coming out with a special feature, that when activated, ejects the game and allows you to get a life! We are waiting for pricing on the super rare limited editions and will keep you updated as soon as we get word.

I was saying the same thing to someone yesterday… I think the problem is that the game has such a small market so the profits cant be massive, but hey, in the USA you never know.
Something like this if used with a good engine and a heavy push on realism could actually be half decent!

I’m actually a huge fan of the series. Sure, it’s not guns blazing action, but a good amount of thought and strategy must be put into each “hunt”

Yeah I know I’ve been playing deer hunter since I was like 11, and back then it was awwweeessome. However even I find myself not very excited about these new ones that come out every now and again. And you’re right, the market isn’t too big (although do not underestimate the amount of rednecks in the US), and also I don’t think that the target market really care that much about graphics. They’re more interested in the functionality of the game. But yeah, if they just took their time and made a proper hunting game, I would go out of my way to buy it.
And btw, hunting games really arent that bad, it’s just an accuired kind of patience. Passive entertainment.
The only hunting game Ive seen that has anything near to very cool is Cabela’s african safari. Still trying to get my hands on it and that game actually looks like it’s gna be rocking!

I really liked playing that old Deer Hunter game that we used to have, it did have its own thing going for it, nice and chilled. I wonder if someone will make a deer hunter type mod for Far Cry 2 when it comes out for PC, that would be quite interesting.

Awesome… Looking forward to Seal Clubbing II as well. I hear Dolphin Massacre by Activision is pretty big in Japan too, can’t wait for that to hit our shores.
