Nintendo Switch

It’s official! The Nintendo Switch finally has a price and a proper reveal date, as Nintendo’s current president Tatsumi Kimishima took to the stage to reveal that the console will retail for $299 in the US. No pricing was announced for European territories, but a worldwide date was: March 3, as Nintendo promised to launch the Switch in Japan, major European territories and America. Click!

Nintendo South Africa has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch will be released locally on March 3 – with the rest of the world. There is, as yet n indication of pricing yet, though. Given that the general European price is sitting at around 350 EUR, I think we can assume it’ll retail locally for R4999.

  1. March for the “first world”, so… August-ish for South Africa for R5000?

I’m sure it would work but it’s kind of rediculious to buy something with the knowledge that you gonna need a power bank. We really need a jump in battery technology!

I don’t mind this. But they need to keep up.

MS and Sony both give us some games for that sub. Sure the selection was a little hit and miss, but overall it was worth having those subs for the freebies.
