Aw yeah son, it is on! Dark Souls 3 arrives on April 12 next year on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. But for the first time, it’ll be releasing on PC that day as well. Which means that everybody gets to share in the joy of launch day issues. While the console requirements for Dark Souls 3 are simple (extra controllers for the inevitable rage-quit), PC players will of course need to set their rig up to handle constant death and taxes.
Here’s the minimum and recommended requirements from Steam:
Minimum PC System Requirements:
- OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64 bit
- Processor: AMD A8 3870 3.6 Ghz or Intel Core i3 2100 3.1Ghz
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 465 / ATI Radeon TM HD 6870
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 50 GB available space
Recommended PC System Requirements:
- OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64 bit
- Processor: AMD FX 8150 3.6 GHz or Intel Core i7 2600 3.4 GHz
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 750, ATI Radeon HD 7850
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 50 GB available space
S’not too bad. I’d also recommend installing some shock absorbers to the side of your gaming rig, for when that boss kills you yet again and you enter a Hulk-rage.

For a game that’s all about dying, those specs aren’t going to kill your PC.

Nope. They are relying on the players to do it themselves.

That’s…hefty. I suspect it’ll look quite good on PC though.
