So literally gear up PC gamers… cause well some of you out there may have to. Its pretty crazy I know but check out the system requirements to merely run Electronic Arts’ new Need For Speed title on your PC’s.

But it may also interest you to know the NFS: Shift is the first title within the franchise that won’t be supporting the AGP graphics card.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pentium 4 3.2GHz (3.4 GHz for Vista)
  • 1GB RAM (2GB Vista)
  • Graphics card with 256MB of RAM support Pixel Shader 3 (PCI-Ex)
  • Sound Card compatible with DirectX 9.0c
  • 10GB free hard disk space
  • Windows XP SP3 or Vista SP1
  • 8x DVD Drive

Recommended Requirements:

  • Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz or AMD 64 X2 2 GHz
  • 2GB RAM (3GB for Vista)
  • Graphics card with 512MB of RAM support Pixel Shader 3 (PCI-Ex)
  • Sound Card compatible with DirectX 9.0c
  • 10GB free hard disk space
  • Windows XP SP3 or Vista SP1
  • 8x DVD Drive

Overall I have to say that as we always knew, the game looks insane but my word is it really worth it to break open the piggy bank just to upgrade your PC? – my answer: any excuse to upgrade ones tech is like the 11th commandment from God… so uhm yeah… do it!

That’s pretty much standard spec for all new titles on
Pc these days. If you wanna see something really crazy,
go check out the listed recommended specs of Ghostbusters.
    That’s just plain STUPID!

Considering Forza 3 and Gran Turismo, NFS: Shift doesn’t look brilliant and you can play both those games on hardware that costs at least half the price.

Contrary to popular believe it isn’t that expensive to get that kind of PC on your hands anymore. Just need to know what to buy. For the price of a PS3 you can get quite a little beast for yourself. 😆

    Paid R1499 for a 360 arcade.

    It can run Forza 3.

No it won’t. Forza 3 will come out on two discs so one will be a compulsary install if u don’t want disc swapping but u can go and buy the 20gb hdd.
