Pokémon as Disney would have imagined it

If you like old school Disney animation, you will love what Red Little House Studios (are they communist or something) are doing with their latest indie game.  Reimagining games such as The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Street Fighter with a 1930’s black and white aesthetic is actually really cool.

The game is listed on Indiegogo, as well as Steam Greenlight.  The story behind the game is:

Fleish begins his new short film walking around Toonville when he meets his lovely girlfriend Cherry. The romantic moment is interrupted when the villain Mr. Mintz enters the scene and, on the contrary to what we were accustomed, captures Fleish and takes him to the top of a hotel under construction. This time, it is Cherry’s turn to muster her courage and overcome the craziness awaiting her on the multiple floors of the building and rescue her beloved Fleish. Are you ready to accompany Cherry on her adventure?

Really, I just can’t say no to these pictures!

You can check out the awesome trailer.  It looks so weird, and yet cool, in a seriously old school kinda way.

If you want even more, you can play the Alpha Demo.  Red Little House Studios have used nostalgia, it is super effective!
