Police Raid Bungie Due To Gunman Sighting

A veritable army of police offices and even SWAT were sent out to Bungie’s offices earlier due to a call from a local stating that they had seen someone walking down the street with what looked like an AK47.

Now I know what you are thinking. Was it some lunatic, was it maybe even a PS3 fanboy or even worse, a really disgruntled Xbox 360/Halo fanboy looking for some Bungie n00bs to pwn and teabag?

What the police soon found out was that the “gunman” was actually a Bungie employee carrying one of the prop weapons from the Neill Blomkamp shorts that were made a while back and was simply moving it to a different location.

The police requested that in future Bungie used more discreet methods of moving around fake weaponry so that incidents like this don’t happen again.

But now, I have a question for you but first I want you to take a look at this photo of Kotaku writer Stephen Totilo who was present that day, holding the fake gun.

Ok, so here is my question. How in the living heck do you mistake that Badass Mofo Halo Sniper Rifle for an AK-47?

If it was me who saw someone walking down the road with one of those, I wouldn’t have called the police. For a gun like that you would need, I dunno… Jedis, Superman, the entire crew of the Starship Enterprise or maybe even Jean-Chuck Van Hasselhof.

Either way, it was all a big misunderstanding and I am happy to announce that no one was reported as tea-bagged.
