All you lucky people who managed to get a PS3 before the recent price hike can now go and get the latest firmware straight of the PSN…

Sony has released the latest update which includes the following

1080p upscaling for DVD’s, PS1 and PS2 game – Awesome

PSP Remote play via the internet – why?

Printing is now enabled with Epson printers – didn’t know it wasn’t before?

DLNA enabled pcs are now able to connect to the PS3

And the file transfer facility has been improved…

So anything you have been waiting for?

    The upscaling of PS2 games is the best feature of this update. I’m also quite interested in the fact that you can now use PSP remote play via the internet , not thats it’s very practical though. It’s a great concept from a technological point of view but I would only see myself using it in airports and thats only if I ever got a connection with more outgoing bandwidth.

    I honestly cant wait to test out the PS2 upscaling and see if its similar to what the BC on the X360 offers to old games. *cross fingers*

    Overall not a bad update in such short time.
