PS3 Slim Not As Slim As I Thought

Joystiq have put up a great picture gallery of the PS3 Slim alongside (or rather under) many other consoles to give you a good impression of it’s size.

While I do need to mention that it still amazingly manages to keep the power supply unit on the inside, I honestly have to say that I thought that it was going to be a little smaller (TWSS).

Check out the full gallery on Joystiq and let us know your thoughts in the comments. I really think that I would have preferred the power supply on the outside and a much smaller console unit as TV cabinet space can always be an issue?

How about you?

  1. Still a meaty bugger huh? But on the plus side it no longer looks like a George Foreman grill.

i think its amazing they’ve managed to get the slim to that size, especially considering whats packed inside.

i like an enclosed psu… much cleaner imo

It does look stylish though, and I definitely like the fact that it doesn’t have that cheap xbox 360 disk tray nonsense.

By the way, just before my box rrod, the disk tray kept on getting stuck.

I am on my 5th Xbox 360 and haven’t had a RROD once. I always end up having issues with reading discs strangely enough. Oh , and one of them had a broken eject button so it got taken back the very next day.

I haven’t had any disk reading errors yet, but the rrod’s seem to be consistent (with all my prior xboxes, all of them have been refurbished). The disk tray thing is new for me as well.

I’ve heard the new jasper models rrod less, do you guys know if this is true? I hate to admit this, but I am considering getting on of those red xbox elites… (STOP JUDGING ME)
