PlayStation is no stranger to taking risks on arty, strange games, and thank goodness they do. Games like Concrete Genie, a new strange, art centric adventure game announced at Paris Games Week, wouldn’t be as big otherwise. The game took prime time at the conference, and utterly captivated me from start to finish.
Which is strange, given that I’m not exactly sure what type of game it is. But maybe that’s the beauty of it. It’s stunning, with some neon glossy artwork being strewn across blank face brick walls, your creations coming to life in a way that your imagination couldn’t even believe. It looks to be mixing elements of adventure titles and perhaps some light platforming. It doesn’t matter really, it’s just another stunning, intriguing looking title Sony has in their back pocket.
