Rugby Challenge 3: Springbok Edition delayed

Rugby Challenge 3, the Rugby game coming this year that could actually be a good one, was meant to be released this month – right in the thick of the current World Cup. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case.

Unfortunately, the game – which, locally, will feature Tendai Mtawarira, Jean de Villiers and Bryan Habana on the cover – has been delayed. Nobody seems to know quite why, but we’ll only be seeing the game towards the end of November.  The news comes courtesy of retailer Raru.

We’ve asked the local distributors why the game’s been delayed, but they’re unable to tell us as yet. We’ll keep you abreast of any information as we get it. If you really, really must play some digital Rugby, there’s the Rugby World Cup game – but we don’t exactly recommend it.

Or… (and I know this is a wild idea) get some friends together and play a game of rugby. Even if it is just Touch Rugby. In real life is what I am referring to.

Tell them it is fun. (And in all seriousness, it is. And I am no fan of rugby myself.)

I know its fun. Use to play it with my cousins but things happened. I don’t really have guy friends… and my girl friends are to sissy to run around on grass. Not that I can run around on grass… to pokkel for that but I’ll run/roll/crawl

A bunch of guys would meet after church and I would try and commit suicide by running around for fun. Now I do not attempt to run. I might just suffer massive cardiac failure for realsies this time.

Yeah I think that’s what happened to me on Saturday.
Was running in the house after my one dog (playing) when I reached the hall I just fell to the ground sweating and said… “Muggie bring die bal hier. HIer. Nader.”
Tigger my other dog decided to sit on my back while I was call Muggie to bring the ball.

I have a cracked neck vertebrae so touch rugby is as close as I am allowed to come unless I want a wheelchair for Christmas 🙂

Happened in 2nd year of Varsity playing for one of the Hostels at Tuks… Fucking lock picked me up and put me down straight on my head. Concussed…
Still played for Tuks’ 4th team the next year, only after that season did I go to a doctor with my neck pain. He was not amused O_o

I can only hope that the delay has something to do with them scheduling a professional shoot with the players.

Yeesh. And why does each of them have a ball?

They’re actually renaming the title to Japan Edition. Hence the obvious terrible placeholder art using some random guys wearing green shirts.

They are changing his injury prone stat to… 95% of the year… But that other 5% is just magical!

Think they are trying to avoid “touch, pause, patch”.
