Now I know that this is just a rumour, but I am really impressed by the amount of awesome sounding titles that are heading to the PSP anyway (LittleBigPlanet and Motorstorm already announced).

While many believed that the PSP was dying a slow and horrible death, the line-up really makes me think that Sony aren’t quite ready to quit just yet. What’s even better about this rumour is that according to what’s floating around on the net at the moment, Ready at Dawn, the same developers of Chains of Olympus are at the helm once more.

Both Daxter and Chains of Olympus were absolutely stunning PSP titles and some of the only games to truly show off the power of the Sony handheld.

While Ready at Dawn say that “You know that even if we were, I couldn’t answer your question.”, we can still only hope that this rumour is true. What’s also interesting is that Sony has denied the rumours of a nearly-ready PSP 2, but you have to wonder if this next God of War could in fact be a launch title for their next effort.

With the Nintendo DS still going so incredibly strong, Sony have their work cut out for them, that doesn’t make me doubt that they could pull it off though, so we will just have to wait to see how it all plays out.

I really enjoyed every moment of God of War: Chains of Olympus so a the idea of a sequel is more than welcome in my books.
