It seems that Microsofts first response to the recently announced 40GB PS3 is to offer some more valued bundles.
Once again the much rumoured Arcade version is mentioned and a new bundle.
A HDMI enabled Xbox 360 premium with Forza 2 and Viva Pinata for 350 Euros. So two free games? Not a bad deal really and Viva Pinata really does need some more exposure as it is a fantastic game.
The other bundle will be a COD4 bundle for 385 Euros… Not sure where the bundle in that is?

I’ve heard that the COD4 bundle will come with Forza 2 and Viva Pinata so you get 3 games in one. Nice deal for new 360 buyers this Xmas nonetheless.

it’s a cool idea and a nice replacement for the core. I just hope that MS realizes that for their emerging markets, like SA. Broadband is not a given and that the set up kiosks in some stores to allow these people to buy new arcade games. There’s more money to be made in simply making yourself useful.

Will we be seeing these bundles in SA? Hopefully we will and soon as I’m in the market for an XBox360. Will probably be getting end of this month.

According to Microsoft SA they don’t comment on rumours. But I can say that I have generally received a no when it has really been a rumour so my hopes are high on this one.
however I don’t expect to see good bundles until the middle of November.
