Skyrim: Dawnguard is out for PC on Steam, PS3 owners get squat

I dare you to read the first line in your own voice, I triple dare you mother-lover!

Good news everybody! And by everybody, I mean PC gamers specifically. Xbox 360 owners have been cavorting around Skyrim with that fancy new expansion pack, Dawnguard, for quite a while now, rubbing the exclusivity in the faces of everyone else who has the game on a different platform. Well rejoice, oh adopters of the perennially late to the party platform, as you’ll soon be sporting some new Nosferatu DLC threads. PS3 owners? You get nothing, as usual.

PC owners can pick up Dawnguard right now on Steam for $19.99, or just over R160, according to Bethesda. PS3 owners won’t be as fortunate to buy the added content though, because right now, the developer just isn’t satisfied with how the extra game content has turned out on that platform.

We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We’re as disappointed as our fans when that isn’t the case, but we’ll continue to push for that reality.

Sorry PS3 owners, no blood-draining antics for you in a snowy Viking landscape, at least for the foreseeable future.
