Well it looks like Mario and his Kart have got some hedgehog-type competition coming his way. Yep it seems that since a profitable Olympic partnership, Sega is developing a cart game of their own. The title is allegedly called Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing.
The game is should be hitting various platforms such as PS3, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360. And as you may expect its going to conform to the typical format of seizure-inducing flashes and bright colors along with an assortment of characters from Sonic and Sega. Some of these include Tails, AiAi (from Super Monkey Ball), Amigo (from Samba De Fame) and Dr. Eggman. There’s also be loads of funny attacks, short cuts and special moves of some or other sort. So stand by to start your engines somewhere in early 2010.
Gary Knight, Sega Europe’s marketing director says,
Its huge variety of characters and vehicles, plus the ability to play both online and off set it apart from other games of this type. The team have pushed the boundaries on what you would normally expect and created a different and unique party racing title whereby you really can’t take anything for granted.
personally I never really enjoyed the genre but then again this multiplayer feature might make it really fun…I just can’t understand what must be wrong with Sonic for him to require a cart. Looks like he’s slipping in his old age, serves him right for the spreading that dam carpal-tunnel.
