So after the much hyped and over disappointing 2.0 update the usual quickfire updates are back.

Sony has announced firmware version 2.01 which contains the following awe inspiring updates

  • [Remote Start] feature is changed to avoid unintended power on.
  • Stability of System Software including Internet Browser and Information Board has been improved.
  • Stability during playing some PLAYSTATION 3 format software has been improved.
  • Stability of the upscaler for PlayStation 2 format software has been improved. (Playability of PlayStation 2 depends on model)
  • So we get one fix and three stability patches…. anyone know how big this fantastic update is actually going to be?

The updates have always been about that size. People whine, but we have to remember the rest of the world doesn’t have Hellkom to deal with…a cap ?? what’s that ?

The local guys on 4Mb ADSL haul it in 4-5 mins on a good day. I’d hate to know how quick it is on a 16 or 24Mb link in the states. Then there’s Hong Kong with 1Gb fibre into the house. Blink and it’s done

Oh, it looks like it does have some additional features – like borking CoD4 😉
