Sam Fisher is lookin’ bad ass.
The box art for Splinter Cell: Conviction has been revealed, and even if you haven’t seen any of the gameplay footage from E3, the image on the cover is enough to let anyone know that this Splinter Cell is different.
Original images that were released of Sam Fisher in Conviction showed a somewhat different Sam to what we are seeing now. He had the “dsssh” hairdo (the one that goes ‘dssh’ across your forehead, and possibly even covers an eye). Now, we are seeing a more Bruce-Willis-Die-Hard rugged and bad ass look.
The early looks at the game have proven to be really intriguing and good looking, so the sooner this gets onto the shelves, the better.

Agreed…
This cover looks insanely bad ass… this game is not only going to sell well.. but it’ll move consoles.
Any Jason Bourne, Bruce Willis type movie fan gamer will pick this up.

Apparently i’m the only one who thought Sam’s previous look might have actually yielded us a game that had some depth and would take the series in an interesting direction. Now its just another hollywood blockbuster. Get in line Splinter Cell, there’s plenty more where you came from

I get where you are coming from, maybe they will toy with this for a bit and then bring back an original Splinter Cell type of title in future, maybe with a different lead character?

Dammit, thats the one. When I was looking at the cover, it reminded me of something but I just couldn’t put my finger on it, and it is indeed the Bourne series.
It is very much a Bourne looking game and setting now.
