The Darkness – "Head to Head"

1 min read

Over at the Aquanox has posted a couple of screenshots of “The Darkness” on Xbox 360 and PS3…

Apart from none of the screenshots being taken at the same time and the top one just being a black screen(?) they look pretty identical to me.

According to the original IGN reviewer

“You’re gonna get several more jaggies in the Playstation 3 version especially when you bring up your “Darkness Powers”. There are tons of jaggies in walls, in character models and enviromental pieces. In the Xbox 360 version there are some jaggies but not nearly as many as in the Playstation 3.”

“One difference is that, in the Playstation 3 version, the TVs will show different clips that don’t have anything to do with the story or the gameplay. It could make it more a immersive experience for some gamers though.

Apart from that they are the same…

Oh except that the PS3 version has been delayed until the 20th of July for the PAL release…

How hard is it to show the same picture from both consoles?

You can’t do a proper comparison when the images are from totally different places.

To me the 360 pic looks cleaner but it means nothing in this particular comparison, come on,
you guys have a 360 and a PS3, you have a copy of the game for each console, just take the same damn picture.

    lol Exactly…

looking at them again the guns in the PS3 version don’t look so hot… that could get annoying since they are there virtually all the time (except in the freaking 360 shot right below it?)

HA HA HA, i don’t really care if the PAL version is delayed, i’ll buy it from the US or some thing, THE PS3 HAS NO REGION LOCK ON GAMES!!! YAY! ha HA ha.

  • Ruslan

lol… by the time your US order arrives the PAL version will be out. Pre-order is the trick here, be pro-active and not reactive. 😉

Looks pretty mutch the same to me.
There is this video at gametrailers (
That has a nice head to head, but as usual they manged to get the brightness completely wrong again. Any word on the demo yet?
