The good, the bad and the ugly of the last week – 12 April 2013

Be honest, y’all missed me while I was gone. Because it feels so empty without me. Nananananana, best of the week, nananananana, and the worst, nananananna and the ugly cause it feels so empty without me!

Best Story

I’m giving this one to myself, because I spent my long weekend just playing wrasslin’ games on ye old consoles and emulators. It was a massive mission to get a retrospective on the saviour of the cheaply made table industry up, but it was totally worth it.

And if you’re not down with that choice, then we’ve got two words for ya: SUCK IT!

Worst Story

There’s a lot of crap that went down this week. From being told to just deal with always-online measures for next-gen consoles, to the revelation that we’ll never get to Metroid things up in a Megaman FPS, it was a bleak week overall.

But the bastard story that took the cake, drop-kicked us in the collective testicles has to go to the on-going clusterbomb of a screw-up that is Comic Con South Africa.

Fans want better, and that’s just what they’re going to get. Stay tuned, as we’ll have more details on other events coming up later in the day, in addition to the plans for Free Comic Book Day.

Sarah Vasquez, you so sleepy. So sleepy.

Most Comments

As usual, Gavin somehow gets most comments on a story which no one was expecting, most likely through his government connections, election-rigging and general threats of violence. Remember kids, when it comes to securing comments, nothing beats spending thousands of Rands on flying a bunch of mob goons to various houses to go make good on some dangerous promises of imminent pain and destruction. Plea for civility my magnificent ass.

Least Comments

And as double usual, Yolanda gets the least amount of comments because no one wants to have SECS with DOTA2.

Batman Of The Week

the-dark-knight-rises-funny-pictures-batman-meme

My eternal rival and regular opponent on the dolphin and chainsaw juggling carnival act, Geoff, walks away this week as Batman. But it’s a hollow victory I say, a hollow victory indeed.

Also, stop making the loser symbol gesture on your forehead Geoff, I can see it from here.

Heh, EA and doody. Heheheheheheh. Well done Geofferino. Doody.

Komment Of The Week

This one goes to Trevor Davies, for displaying a knowledge of the Mortal Kombat universe that we’ve been ripping on for years now, and for also making the PC platform now sound like a Jozi hate-slap that is ten times harder than that other slap.

Seeing that this is Mortal Kombat, shouldn’t it be coming to the PK & not the PC? Quite appropriate as it’s a fighting game & with a certain meaning of that abbreviation 😀
