The Lost and The Damned Releases today – Time to dress up your avatar

Microsoft paid over $50 million to ensure that it could get the exclusive rights for the GTA IV DLC and its now time to see what that money has gotten them.

The Lost and The Damned is releasing later today and we are all hoping that it isn’t going to be blocked locally but right now we still don’t know whether that is the case or not. However if it helps Major Nelson has announced that a new set of avatar clothing is available right now to celebrate the release of this DLC.

So even if you can’t download the DLC you can at least dress up your little avatar as a big bad biker and parade around the dashboard scaring the little folk…

Yeah it’s not quite the same thing but at least it’s free and that’s always a good thing.

$50m!! they’ll need 1.6 million download @ $30 a pop to break even assuming they get 100% of that $30.

mmm… maybe my maths is wrong

It is 50 mil for 2 episodes.

    This is episode 1.

And the DLC allready got them sales away from Sony, as a few people went with the 360 version, for just that reason.

I’m hoping they eventually put both episodes on a GTA 4 ‘ultimate’ disk.

The download is around 2 gigs for the lost and damned ‘episode’, from what I have heard.

so i take it you’re saying its a 360 exclusive, or is it just a timed exclusive?

even if it is for 2 episodes, its still a wad of cash to secure it.

You should also count the amount of people who went for the Xbox360 version of GTA4 because of this. There may also be some console sales… maybe.
