The Game Awards, Geoff Keighly’s newly independent video game awards ceremony kicks off on December 3rd this year – and will, as usual, give us a glimpse of some new games by way of trailer-accompanied announcements, so it’s always worth a watch. It’s also one of the most “official” of the many end-of-year video game awards, with nominees selected by a panel of 32 esteemed international media.
“Nominees for The Game Awards 2015 are selected by a jury of 32 international media,” Says the Game Awards’ official site. “In some cases, the jury is provided advanced review code of upcoming games in order to meet the Game Awards 2015 judging deadlines. Games must have been commercially released by Tuesday, November 24 to be eligible for awards. eSports nominees were voted on by an advisory panel consisting of eSports media and sites.”
Easy enough – but what games have been nominated? As many of you would imagine, and are likely to be happy about, The Witcher 3 has walked away with many, many nominations.

I will definitely be picking Witcher 3 up for the December holidays. But first that backlog of mine needs some work.

November 16, 2015 at 09:06
Just make sure you have a spare 100+ hours.
Ottokie
November 16, 2015 at 09:07
And hypothetically speaking, if you only run the main quest line?
BakedBagel
November 16, 2015 at 09:09
How dare you.
One does not simply play a witcher game and ONLY run the main quest.
Do you think this is a game?
Ottokie
November 16, 2015 at 09:10
Hahaha, I usually do the whole “explore everything” for the first half of the game. But when the story gets to gripping, I tend to tunnel vision just to know what happens.
BakedBagel
November 16, 2015 at 09:12
haha I feel you bro.
Witcher does a great job of mixing the main quest with some side quests. You actually want to figure out what happened to character x. So you end up doing x’s quest line which could start a different quest lol.
So its all up to the tunnel vision intensity imo. Its definitely my GOTY c:

I overturned Final Fantasy x-2 so much to find more clues from FFX, that my final play through was 250 hours.
Mossel
November 16, 2015 at 10:14
I basically played only the main quest, with some random side quests every now and then and plenty of monster contracts. I have 100hours on the clock! Going back now to do the rest. I also play slowly, for what it’s worth.
Alien Emperor Trevor
November 16, 2015 at 09:09
No idea, I already knocked off 50 hours from my complete play through. 😉
Ottokie
November 16, 2015 at 09:13
50 hours is doable, but the galaxy still needs it’s mute ninja hero.

You see there was another reactor alert last night? Although you’d think people had learnt from the first two time how to play them.
And remember that Ash P chassis you wanted? I’ve got two now. I’m also sick of farming cryotic – but got a metric ton of neurodes at the same time.

November 16, 2015 at 09:18
Another? apart from the siege mission?
Alien Emperor Trevor
November 16, 2015 at 09:19

Ottokie
November 16, 2015 at 09:21

4 reactors in one weekend awww yiss. Nekros and Mirage are going to get some love.
Alien Emperor Trevor
November 16, 2015 at 09:23
I really enjoyed those survivals, they were hectic. Especially because I never figured out just how the radiation proc happened so had to be ready to watch for friendly fire all the time.
Ottokie
November 16, 2015 at 09:25
We got nailed by those radiation procs in the survival missions on Saturday xD

November 16, 2015 at 09:29
Guys I was playing with last night were going down like flies. I ended up with 8 revives. I just loved walking down those narrow corridors burning the living hell out of everything in front of me. Punch through FTW!

November 16, 2015 at 09:31
I have a new love for Ember, she is so awesome with the new energy changes.
Stood on top of the Oxygen canisters and just watched the world burn.

I love firequake. At low levels you just straight out kill everything, but at higher levels it’s good cc.
VampyreSquirrel
November 16, 2015 at 09:36
I made the mistake of going into one with Dread… sure I could kill a line of guys with a single shot, but the amount of enemies was a bit much for it.
Ottokie
November 16, 2015 at 09:36
We are doing it again tonight for the other reactor… huehuehue

November 16, 2015 at 09:38

Alien Emperor Trevor
November 16, 2015 at 09:38
For this alert you need a fast firing weapon with punch through, there’s too many enemies swarming you.
Ottokie
November 16, 2015 at 09:39
Or lots and lots and lots of AOE. With FIRE!!!!
VampyreSquirrel
November 16, 2015 at 09:49
