Choices. They’re what define our gameplay experiences. You’re either good, or you play long enough to see yourself become the bad guy. Those choices can also impact on the ending of games in various colour-coded ways, and it looks like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also going to have some endings based on decisions made during the course of the game.
Speaking to Polygon, CDPR managing director Adam Badowski that The Witcher 3 would have three distinct epilogues that would sum up the choices that players had made throughout their journey. No word yet on whether or not any of those endings are blue, green or red.
“The game is quite complex. We didn’t mean to develop something special for the endings, it’s a natural consequence of the story line,: Badowski said.
The story has hundreds of different branches and sub plots. We have to just sum all of those elements up in the epilogues.
Some of those elements are taken from the very beginning and some from other moments of the storyline. All of them will connect in the epilogue. We have a lot of things to summarize. We didn’t spend time on inventing endings, it was just the consequence of those choices.
The one thing that I don’t want to see with my decisions, is a blatant effect that they have. I’m hoping that The Witcher 3 can make these life choices subtle and meaningful. Because the last thing I need for that Witchering finale, is for Geralt to have to choose which colour cup of Kool Aid that he wants to drink from before the end credits roll.

yip.
Skyirm. Your choices meant what?
Fallout handled that a bit better.
But Witcher 1 and 2 were awesome stories with real consequences to actions and choices, so I am looking forward to this. A lot.
